Different Types of PDR Tools?
There are different styles of PDR tools used by PDR Technicians. A lot depends on their use due to access, leverage, reach, strength and comfort. PDR tools have evolved over time.with these factors and also changes in vehicle design and metal gauge.New PDR tool sets have also been designed to cover motorcycle dents as well (but these are not covered here).
PDR Rods Rods are sturdy tools using for leverage typical over medium to long accessible distances to lever dents out
Whale Tails usually small to medium tools, the design of whale tails are to lever dents out using minimal access in between panels and using a twisting leverage action
Brace Tools used for getting in those tiny little holes at the edge of door panel, in gaps such as in between headlamps and fenders leveraging in braces.
Glue Pullers Sliding hammers and glue pullers are used to pull out or lift dents using glue tabs
Glue Pulling tabs glue is used to contact the glue tab to the dent fitting from the various shapes and sized tabs comfortably inside the dents to pull out the dent
Glue Sticks using varying colours for various specific weather temperature conditions are inserted in glue guns to allow glue tabs to stick and quickly or slowly get jeered out lifting or glue pulling the dent.
